FAQs

What conditions do you treat?

I have advanced specialty training in orthopedic upper extremity rehabilitation including hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries; post-operative breast surgery recovery and lymphedema management. We treat aspects of cancer survivorship including cancer-related fatigue and strength after breast cancer (strength ABCs) programming.

What makes you different from other clinics?

As a private, therapist-owned practice, we provide one-on-one care tailored to your needs in a quiet, supportive setting. To support your full recovery, I combine expert hands-on techniques, evidence-based interventions and clinical expertise from 30 years of practice. You will not be seen by an aide or a tech during your sessions.

Do I need a referral to start treatment?

In Illinois, occupational therapy does not require a physician prescription to initiate treatment. However, some insurance plans require one for reimbursement. I require having one on file to avoid issues with your insurance.

What insurance do you accept?

I am in-network with BCBS PPO plans. I am out of network for other plans. If your insurance allows for out of network services, I am happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier to request reimbursement for cash fees paid.

How do I know if my insurance allows for out of network providers?

The back of your insurance card should have a customer service phone number where you can make an inquiry.

What is your space like?

I share space with a group called “Collective Motion,” which is a small rehab studio featuring individual treatment rooms and a group exercise space. There are no more than four therapists in the clinic at a given time to keep your experience personalized and serene.

How do I schedule a session?

Reach out by email, phone or the contact form and we will get back to you in 24-48 hours with a link to our secure client portal.
